| John Paul
Bolger was born in Dublin on the 15th of October
in 1952. John has always had a keen eye for
anatomy, which soon became apparent when he
was awarded an Ambrose Birmingham Gold Medal
in Anatomy in 1973.
John’s
talents were recognized by the appropriate
bodies early on and he was offered and accepted
a scholarship to attend a private school
followed by medical school.
John excelled at the University
College and went on to gain an M.B.,B.CH.
and BAO in Dublin, 1976. John then chose
to cross the water to the UK in order to
further his education in London, gaining
the following professional qualifications
• Certificate of Higher
Surgical Training – London 1986
• F.R.C.S. – London 1982
• D.O – London 1980
Following professional qualifications.
He was Joint Senior Registrar to Moorfields
Eye Hospital and The
Royal Free Hospital.
After many years of studying John took his
first professional role at The Queen Elizabeth
the 2nd Hospital in Welwyn Garden City
