Cataract Clinic - The UK's number 1 Clinic for Eye Surgery and Treatment Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a disease where the pressure inside the eye is too high. This high pressure damages the nerve which carries the vision to the brain. If the damage is severe then blindness can result. Treatment is directed at lowering the pressure down to normal thus preventing the vision being damaged.
This image shows the anatomy of the junction of the white of the eye with the coloured part (iris). It is here the the pressure drains away back into the blood stream. In the magnified section one can see a glimpse of canal (coloured blue) which runs 360 degrees around the base of the iris.

This is an analysis of optic nerve from the OCT machine. The machine measures the number of nerve fibres (up to one million) and compares it to a normal one.

This is an examination of the optic nerve. The machine measures the number of nerve fibres (up to 1 million) in each eye and compares it to a normal one.
